Design & Construct

Whether it’s a new build, renovation, or extension, a D&C (Design & Construct) delivery methodology may be the ideal solution for you.
Unlike a conventional construction management contract, a D&C contract is where the client enters into a single contract with a builder, who in turn provides both the design direction and construction management of a project based on requirements specified by the client.
Key to this arrangement is the appointment of JKG Building as the single point of control. Throughout the project we will contribute valuable insights in the form of project design and management advice in line with your expectations. This ensures every aspect of your design not only looks great but is also buildable in accordance with your budget and timeframe.

KNOCK-DOWN / REBUILD

Working with our trusted design consultants our team will translate your aspirations and ideas into a detailed design brief. Then we will work with you to craft these concepts into an exclusive custom home design using the latest CAD and 3D modelling technologies where you get to experience your new home to ensure you get what you want.
BRING IN YOUR OWN PLANS
Perhaps you’ve completed the early work with a design consultant of your own…that’s great! Our team will work with you and your chosen practitioners to ensure that the ‘buildability’ of those plans translate to your site. Typically this would include a review of the design itself, specific regulatory and safety requirements, material choices, lead times and other critical criteria. Then we can provide an accurate quotation and program.

Renovation Refresh

Subdivisions
Realising the potential of your existing asset and optimising its value through subdivision is a capability deeply entrenched with JKG Building.
We’ve developed many of our own investment properties and helped countless clients do the same, building financial independence and security through property. JKG will advise on what’s possible on a given site and ensure the chosen approach can sustain your expected outcomes.
DUAL OCCUPANCY DEVELOPMENT
A popular dual occupancy strategy is to retain the existing property and subdivide and build on the back portion of the site. In doing so, the original property is renovated inside and out whilst a new dwelling is built at the rear. Alternatively, the existing dwelling can be demolished, and the site cleared, ready for two new dwellings to be built. There are benefits and limitations to both options so JKG specialist can help determine the best strategy for you.
JKG will help develop the site by designing a solution in line with the residential building code of Victoria, manage the planning application process, then once approved, deliver the build.
MULTI-SITE DEVELOPMENT
If you have a larger site that may accommodate up to six dwellings, JKG can help you build a quality investment solution. Whilst all the same technical expertise from building a dual occupancy applies here, what’s often most important is the planning and community engagement process.
